Course Description
The course introduces participants to key features of English academic writing (see ToC below), such as:<br>
• The macro-structure of journal articles<br>
• How to write abstracts<br>
• Paragraphing<br>
• Meta-discourse<br>
• What makes sentences clear and persuasive?<br>
• Punctuation<br>

Learning outcomes<br>
After the course, participants should be be aware of the essential cornerstones of academic writing in English. In particular, they should know how to structure sentences and paragraphs, and how to deploy key linguistic devices to help readers follow the argument.<br>
