Course Details

This course is a learning project on Values and Civil Society in Europe. Students get acquainted with and learn to do social science research. This course is positioned to apply quantitative analysis techniques to address a relevant puzzle (research question) on differences or similarities in values or civil society attitudes or behavior across European countries. Hence, the aim of this course is to train students to be able to write a complete scientific empirical research paper about a value or civil society issue in contemporary Europe, using existing cross-national survey data. Prerequisites: Successful completion of an introductory course in social science statistics and methodology.
